Easy step to Chinese for young kids (Level 1-Level 4) • The primary goal of this “Easy Steps to Chinese for Kids” is to help total beginners, particularly children from a non-Chinese background, build a solid foundation for learning Chinese as a foreign language. •The courses are designed to emphasize the development of communication skills in listening and speaking, and the language materials are carefully selected and relevant to children of this age group. Recognizing characters and writing characters are also the focus of this course. •Each lesson has a song using all the new words and sentences. •Chinese culture is introduced in a fun way. This course consists of 8 books, which cover 4 levels. Level 1 A This is the beginners class for children who have had no exposure to Chinese or with very little exposure to Chinese. These classes are meant to present Chinese in a simple manner where children can build their confidence in learning the language. In total 10 classes, kids will be able to: • Count numbers from 1-20 • Learn basic greetings • Introduce their names, age, and grade. • Chinese culture (The mid-autumn festival) and review of lessons learned • Recognize 38 Chinese words • Write basic Chinese character’s storks • Sing 8 Chinese songs Level 1B In total 10 classes, kids will be able to say: • Family members • Body parts • Pets • Colors 1 • Fruits • Chinese culture (Chinese New Year )and review of lessons learned Kids also will be able to : • Write numbers and simple Chinese characters • Recognize 35 Chinese words • Sing 8 Chinese songs Total 20 Classes x $15 = $300 L1A (10 Classes)- L1B (10 Classes)
